A very tight end to the show-jumping – Sharon Hunt wins the Four Star
Two fences down cost Ingrid Klimke victory with a difference in score of only 0.2 penalty points
Ingrid Klimke, member of the World Championship and Olympic gold medal winning teams, contributed to the dramatic final in Luhmühlen on Sunday by missing victory by 0.2 penalty points. Riding FRH Butts Abraxxas she narrowly lost the chance to win her first Four Star class. And so 33-year old Sharon Hunt (Great Britain) riding Tankers Town just edged herself into the lead in spite of a fence down. Andreas Dibowski, German team mate of Ingrid Klimke’s, was also hot on their heels being 1.2 penalty points behind the winner with his reserve horse FRH Fantasia.
Simone Deitermann and Flambeau H win the CIC*** Milford Trophy
Peter Thomsen and Cayenne climb up to 2nd place
Despite having faults in the show-jumping phase of the CIC*** Milford Trophy, Simone Deitermann and her 17-year old brown gelding Flambeau H claimed victory in Luhmühlen this year. The young eventer was able to hold her lead right from the start of the competition after the dressage test. She defended her position on Saturday on the crosscountry course and was able to celebrate her win amongst cheering crowds.
